Top 5 Chrome Extensions: Get The Most Out Of Your Browser

Install These Chrome Extensions For A Better Browsing Experience

Here at Cloud Atlas Technologies, we always recommend Google Chrome as the browser of choice. Chrome is fast, secure, and most importantly, has a webstore of extremely useful extensions. Below, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Chrome extensions.

To get all these extensions and more, simply navigate to this link.

5: Google Mail Checker

Google Mail Checker adds a little icon next to your search bar with quick access to your gmail. It also has a nifty email counter that updates in real time. If you’ve ever been in a position where you are waiting for an email, this extension helps a lot.

4: Grammarly

Grammarly is like an enhanced spellchecker. Instead of just letting you know when you misspelled something, it will offer you suggestions. Its uses also extend beyond spell check. For example, if you used “your” when you meant to use “you’re” it should pick it up. This is a life saver if you write a lot of emails.

3: LastPass

Forgetting your password can be an aggravating and time consuming experience. LastPass for chrome attempts to solve this issue by storing your passwords for other sites into one location with one master password.

2: Evernote

Evernote is basically bookmarks in 2017. Instead of just saving an entire webpage as a bookmark, you can take screenshots, save specific articles, or just save it as a regular bookmark. What makes Evernote so powerful is its intuitive “notebook” feature. If you are working on a project, you can create a new notebook and save everything related to it in that project instead of cluttering your bookmark bar.

1: Adblock Plus

Adblock Plus is the quintessential Chrome extension. Adblock does exactly what it’s named after, it blocks all ads, even the ones before youtube videos. Not only does this make your browsing experience less annoying, it also makes it more secure. A lot of computer viruses are contacted through malicious website ads. The first thing I do when I setup a computer with Chrome is installing this extension.
